It is not known who planted the mulberry tree that has been standing for generations on the right bank of the river under the remains of the Budim mill, but it is a symbol of the silken past and sweet present of this region. It is estimated that the white mulberry tree is about 400 years old and has a trunk circumference of 475 cm. It is part of our tradition and a recognizable image of our landscape. Trees, as a manifestation of life itself, have always been strongly connected with man. This is how our old mulberry tree today provides shade and shelter to new generations.
